Arrest warrant issued for Pennsylvania State Representative Kevin Boyle, police say

Law enforcement in Pennsylvania have issued an arrest warrant for State Rep. Kevin J. Boyle after he was accused of violating a restraining order involving a woman.
Philadelphia Police Department Sgt. Miguel Torres confirmed to USA TODAY the warrant was issued for Boyle, 44, on Tuesday.
Boyle, a Democrat, represents Pennsylvania District 172, which covers parts of northeast Philadelphia and Montgomery County.
According to his X profile, Boyle is the majority chair for the house insurance committee. According to his website, he has represented the district since 2011 and is seeking his eighth term in office.
Police said early Wednesday that they could not release further details about the warrant because Boyle had not yet been booked into jail.

Warrant for State Rep. Tim Boyle alleges he violated restraining order
Details of the warrant were not immediately clear, but CBS reported the state representative texted his estranged wife, violating an established protection-from-abuse order.
In 2021, the outlet reported, Boyle was arrested on charges of harassment and for allegedly violating a protection order filed by his wife at the time. His lawyer called it a domestic dispute.
The status of that case was not immediately known Wednesday.
